13:20 Riviere D’etel

Former smart novice hurdler Jeremys Flame experienced a series of reverses over fences last season. She may have better fortune this term, but chasing newcomer RIVIERE D’ETEL could prove a safer option here. Highstreet Roller looks the pick of the remainder.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

13:55 Minella Escape

Point winner MINELLA ESCAPE (NAP) is the most interesting of these and is fancied to make a winning start over fences. He was odds-on for a Grade 3 novice hurdle at Navan when last seen in February and was still just about in front when coming down at the second-last.

Chasing should be the making of him. Port Stanley is rated 133 and respected, while Salt Wind, Russian Diamond and Western Run are all useful in their own right, but the selection could turn out to be a graded performer over fences.

14:30 Favori Logique

A last-fence fall deprived the progressive FAVORI LOGIQUE of victory at Sligo. He obviously has more to do off his revised mark, but may prove equal to the task. The main danger is probably Goodnightgoodbless, whose Listowel third indicates that a first chase success is imminent. Top-weight Lord Lariat won the corresponding race last year (run over 2m 5f) and may be competitive again.

15:05 Glan

GLAN looked like winning for a long way at Listowel – hitting 4-5 on the exchanges – but got tired on her first start since April. She hurdled with fluency there and should be sharper for the outing so gets a confident vote to take care of Jeremys Jewel. Trendy Lady is another to consider, especially given she in receipt of 8lbs from the aforementioned pair

15:40 Impressive Duke

Lightly-weighted veteran IMPRESSIVE DUKE is something of an enigma having failed to add to two facile wins gained over fences in Britain in 2019. Perhaps cheekpieces will do the trick for him, and he is tipped to see off recent Clonmel winner Paddy Wickla and Coolnacritta, who prospered during a short spell in Britain and ran well on his stable debut at Limerick in July.

16:15 Inforapenny

It could be argued that Pretty Little Liar deserves a change of fortune. But, she may struggle to uphold Navan form with INFORAPENNY who is younger, less exposed and managed a good effort when second at Clonmel in front of Arch Melody.

16:50 Donthavetime

This represents a drop in class for DONTHAVETIME following her Gowran Park run. Her previous Galway second gives her a leading chance. Cottie, a touch frustrating in maidens, could make her presence felt at this level. The Truant and Ashqar are also worth considering.

17:22 Free Nelson

This can be probably be whittled down to three. Ambitious Fellow’s Kilbeggan effort has been franked by the runner-up, while Angelsworknovrtime is very dangerous if she settles. However, FREE NELSON ought to have their measure. He returned from over two years off the track with a promising display in a Listowel maiden hurdle and looks up to winning a bumper of this nature on that evidence.
