Canonized just didn’t quite see out the 6f at Ayr but hopefully he can last home here.

14:20 Newmarket – Imperial Fighter

Imperial Fighter will much prefer the softer ground on Saturday than the good ground at York last time. That will be the key.

14:37 York – Bay Bridge

Bay Bridge looks unexposed and on the up. He’s high enough in the weights but has loads of ability.

Native Trail will be hard to beat, but it felt like Point Lonsdale underperformed last time and Ebro River didn’t really frank the form in France so I’m taking a chance that Ger Lyons is rewarded for sending Straight Answer over.

15:15 York – Capotes Dream

Capotes Dream just about got his head in front the last couple of races and the big field should be ideal for him.

15:35 Newmarket – Scaramanga

Scaramanga should see out every yard of the trip, although that applies to plenty of these so tread carefully. It’s another wide-open race.
