Weight will stop trains and HICONIC has to shoulder a massive triple penalty. She may still maintain her unbeaten record, although if Highlander Madrik transfers his French Flat form to this hurdling debut he will be a tough nut to crack. Pink Jazz and racecourse debutant Balko Saint are others to consider.
14:20 Robin Of Sherwood
Giga White may come good over fences, while Sea’s Aria is shortlisted after last month’s encouraging effort. ROBIN OF SHERWOOD hasn’t been seen since January but he may prove the answer if able to show his best.
14:50 Parody (NAP)
Doubly Clever commands respect after winning so well here recently but a 7lb rise asks a question and preference is for PARODY (nap), who bumped into a fellow improver on her handicap debut at Bangor.
15:20 Jacamar
Hallings Comet and Roar are shortlisted after fine efforts on their latest starts, while Pagero is another to consider. However, although tailed off when last seen, JACAMAR has solid claims on his form last autumn and is given the vote.
15:50 Soldier Of Love
Although he hasn’t looked entirely straightforward in his two wins this summer, SOLDIER OF LOVE has finished off his races well and can complete the hat-trick. This is Marble Moon’s time of year and he can put up the most resistance.
16:25 Kiruna Peak
Peterborough has strong claims in a modest contest but KIRUNA PEAK ran well enough on her chasing debut to suggest she might be up to giving her in-form yard another winner.
16:55 Ultimate Getaway
This might be quite a test for ULTIMATE GETAWAY but he still has less to prove than his rivals. Bravo Buddy, Karastani and Dansant Express could well prove up to the required standard and the market may have something to say on that score.
