ATOMIC FORCE shaped encouragingly when second on his debut at Musselburgh eight weeks ago, showing plenty of early speed and sticking to his task well to pass the post only two lengths behind the winner. That form sets the standard in this line-up and Atomic Force has been gelded since then which could unlock further improvement. This looks a good opportunity for him to get off the mark at the second attempt.

LADY NECTAR proved better than ever after six months off to resume winning ways at Thirsk last time. She only won by half a length but was arguably value for extra given how much ground she had to make up in the straight, quickening smartly to lead inside the final 100 yards. She looks a potentially useful filly and should mount a bold follow-up bid from only 4 lb higher in the weights.
15:10 – Will Sommers
WILL SOMMERS has become a frustrating horse to follow, failing to justify favouritism in any of his last six starts. There is no doubt he possesses plenty of ability, though, and the balance of his form suggests a BHA mark of 66 won’t prove beyond him when everything clicks. He steps back up in trip here and is fitted with first-time cheekpieces, both reasons why he could be worth one last chance to fulfil his undoubted potential.
15:40 – Celtic Empress
CELTIC EMPRESS showed improved form when second on her handicap debut at Redcar nine days ago, settling better than previously in a first-time hood and running on well to be beaten just a head. Crucially, she can race from the same mark here, so it is very case to make the case for her from a handicapping perspective, with further progress also likely given that this will be just the fifth start of her career.

16:10 – Millie The Minx
MILLIE THE MINX has been in good heart over hurdles recently, winning two of her last three starts. She is thoroughly likeable and consistent, as well as versatile, and a BHA mark of 54 certainly looks workable now back on the Flat. She is sure to be thereabouts as she seeks a third career win at Hamilton having won twice here (including over course and distance) last summer.
16:40 – Omany Amber
OMANY AMBER is improving all the time and caught the eye when second on her latest outing at Nottingham, travelling best but just finding the winner too strong at the finish. She can race from the same mark here and rates a confident selection to regain the winning thread, with the better ground and shorter trip both likely to be in her favour given how she shaped last time.
17:10 – Gunnerside
GUNNERSIDE is clearly thriving at present, winning three of his last five starts and hitting the frame on the other two occasions. He was a brave winner over this course and distance last time, finding plenty in the final furlong to land the spoils by three quarters of a length. This will be tougher from a 5 lb higher mark, but he has a good-value claimer taking over in the saddle and simply cannot be ruled out if continuing in the same rich vein of form.
