13:30 City Derby

This is weaker than the opening division and CITY DERBY should take a bit of beating. Khanmurjan goes well fresh and can make a race of it. Bella Bluesky may also get involved.

14:00 Ask Dillon

Ballymoy faces no easy task conceding 12lb to ASK DILLON and Fitzroy. The selection, a winning pointer, suffered a heavy fall on his previous run over regulation fences but he’s done well over hurdles in the meantime. Fitzroy makes his chase debut after easily his most convincing performance.

14:30 Getaway Luv

A lot of these look handicapped about right but GETAWAY LUV could improve for this longer trip, provided he’s ridden with greater patience than last time. Flint Hill was a decisive course winner three weeks ago and he heads the dangers, ahead of Gortroe Joe.

15:00 Whoshotwho (NAP)

Richard Newland had an excellent strike-rate at Perth and WHOSHOTWHO (nap) is 5lb ahead of the handicapper having returned from a long layoff with a fine second at Warwick ten days ago. He’s taken to go one better with Roxboro Road feared most, despite having shot up the weights following his spring hat-trick. Niven needs to leave his latest run behind but is worth a crack at 3m.

15:30 Curramore

The 4yo Hooroo is an interesting handicap newcomer for Olly Murphy and could have a big say, but preference is for CURRAMORE who was a promising third at Newcastle in March on the back of a long absence. Lopito is a longstanding maiden but is no forlorn hope now dropped back in trip.

16:00 Methodtothemadness

This is very open with none of the runners that convincing. With chasers in her family, perhaps METHODTOTHEMADNESS can give a bold show on her chasing debut. Casimir Du Clos is next best, ahead of Istimraar.

16:30 Baby Jane

You wouldn’t put it past Green Zone going well after a break and he won one of the earlier races on this card two years ago. Cases can also be made for Rubytwo (second choice) and Camile. A more speculative option is BABY JANE, who ran her best race yet last time and she’s had wind surgery since.
