17:00 – Low Profile
Not so competitive as the numbers suggest, and LOW PROFILE (nap) is taken to continue Mark Walford’s good recent run after posting a promising second for his new yard at Catterick earlier in the month (form franked). In-form duo Tundra and Termonator seem sure to be on the premises, although the handily weighted Petitioner could prove the biggest danger to the selection.
New to Paddy Power?
17:30 – Electric Love
Stuart Williams has his string in good nick so his Akkeringa seems sure to have a say on the back of his promising reappearance third at Wolverhampton, while David O’Meara’s two newcomers catch the eye, not least his Kingman gelding Morty. However, there was plenty to like about ELECTRIC LOVE‘s first outing when a running-on second at Wolverhampton, and Tom Clover’s filly gets the vote.
18:00 – Attaboy Roy
A tight-knit sprint. Richard Fahey’s Lexington Bullet appeals as a likely improver on her return after a wind op and is greatly respected, but this could rest between Portelet Bay and ATTABOY ROY. David Evans’ gelding just came out on top when they met at Redcar last time but preference now is for David Barron’s likable front-runner who enjoys a pull in the weights and has a favourable high draw.
18:30 – Spanish Angel
A fairly useful sprint. Music Society signalled he’s ready to go in again when making a promising reappearance at Beverley, while it would come as no surprise to see Show Me Show Me put up a bold showing too off a reduced mark for his in-form yard. However, SPANISH ANGEL really caught the eye on his debut for Ruth Carr when a strong-travelling fourth at Newcastle and he is taken to emerge on top.
19:00 – Esticky End
Space Kid has to bounce back from a low-key run over 1m4f last time but that is not out of the question and he is one to consider. Baileys Warrior is a potential improver now up in trip for her handicap debut, while Soller Bay comes here on the back of a good run on turf. ESTICKY END is as yet unproven on turf but his AW best reads well enough at this level and the addition of blinkers could squeeze more out of him.
19:30 – Malhoob
The form standard is set by MALHOOB, who ran to an RPR of 77 on his latest Newcastle start. Perfect Balance and Life On The Rocks are similar types who look the main dangers to the selection, in that order of preference.
20:00 – Harvest Day
On the back of an encouraging reappearance, HARVEST DAY may be the answer to this fairly open contest. Similar type Etikaal is second choice, ahead of Glengarry, Billy Wedge, Plunger and The Big House.
