Top weight Haveoneyourself is respected dropped in class, but slight preference is for the veteran SHAMSHON. He has been running well on the all-weather, won’t mind the forecast ground and represents a stable going well. Zulu Zander should also be on the premises.

16:55 Muskateer Three

Five of these make their debuts. Flash Betty and, in particular, Dusky Prince catch the eye and the last-named may prove the main threat to form choice MUSKATEER THREE, who is going the right way and can make it third time lucky. Ye Gud Thing may get closer to the selection this time.

17:30 Vape

This looks very tricky. Real Estate is the only one with Brighton experience, but he is out of form. Little Brown Trout would make appeal if his readiness first time out could be assured. VAPE and Strong Power are not the most reliable, but they are the ones who have been seen in creditable action this year and they head the list.

18:00 Blame Culture

On a lenient mark back on turf in first-time cheekpieces, Aweemaweh is enticing but minor preference is for BLAME CULTURE, who has been running well on the all-weather and is able to compete off a 10lbs lower mark on turf. Others to consider include Silent Witness, who looks the best of her two stable representatives, and Mostallim.

18:30 Tin Hat

Those lower in the weights offer little appeal, so this should be fought out by Fred, De Vegas Kid and TIN HAT (NAP). The preference for Eve Johnson Houghton’s runner, who has been in good form on the all-weather and whose two career wins have been achieved at this venue. De Vegas Kid may give him most to do.

19:00 Bahia Star

Given his stable’s strength, it may be too soon to write off React. But, he clearly has to up his game so it may pay to look elsewhere and top weight BAHIA STAR appeals most. She may have found cut in the ground against her on her final start as a two-year-old, but her previous runs were promising and she could make a winning return to action over this longer distance. Spirituoso was disappointing last time, but could bounce back and give her most to do.

19:30 Dawn View

Course form here counts for plenty, so the veteran Pour La Victoire can rarely be discounted. However, there are one or two interesting rivals against him, most notably DAWN VIEW and Rhyme Scheme – who may come home in that order.

The selection is still without a win, but has good recent all-weather form to her name and should be thereabouts if effective back on turf. Hedging, Black Medick and Eastern Star are others to consider.
