Lexington Force made a promising start to his career when winning at a big price on debut at Kempton around this time last year, finishing with a flourish to go away from his rivals come the line, and he continued in good form in his two subsequent races, finishing second at the same venue next time out before shaping promisingly on handicap debut at Redcar in September. He remains open to further improvement, particularly now stepped up in trip, and should be more than capable of regaining the winning thread from his current mark.
Artisan Bleu offered very little in maiden/novice company, beating home a total of four horses in her first three starts, but, stepped into handicap company at Lingfield last month, she showed her first form. The winner, who came in for an experience ride from Adam Kirby, was far better positioned than Artisan Bleu, who did well coming from off the pace to throw down her challenge, finishing well for second.
The step back up to 10 furlongs looked to suit her on that occasion, no surprise in that though given her pedigree, and though she is likely to stay further still, another crack at this trip seems a good move. The winner from that race has gone in again since, and with more still to come from Artisan Bleu, she gets the vote to go one better herself.

A quick look at Knowing Glance’s recent form figures would be enough to rapidly put anyone off his chances, but he gave the impression he was on the way back when fifth at Lingfield in January, catching the eye in the closing stages, keeping on to make up a fair bit of ground late on and finishing with running left, and he could be worth chancing to bounce back to his best here.
He presumably didn’t handle Southwell’s fibresand surface when last of seven there last time, so that run can be easily overlooked, and Knowing Glance is just too well handicapped to ignore – now 6 lb lower than his last winning mark.
