PSV to win

Arsenal booked their place in the Europa League knockout stages with a win over PSV last week and it is unlikely that they will be too concerned about the return fixture on Thursday night. True, the Gunners still have a little bit of work to do to secure top spot in Group A, but they do have a home game against whipping boys FC Zurich on the horizon.

Mikel Arteta, who has already rotated heavily in the competition this season, is therefore likely to rest players in Eindhoven on Thursday night with a game against Nottingham Forest coming up on Sunday. PSV, meanwhile, can take a giant step towards the knockout stages with a win over Arsenal on Thursday.

The Dutch side will book their place in the knockout stages if they can better Bodo/Glimt’s result on Thursday and have far more incentive to go for broke than Arsenal. They have lost just once at home in all competitions this season, winning all five of their home league games and I have a suspicion we’ll see PSV win.

Both Teams To Score

PSV have scored a whopping 48 goals in 15 games in the league and Europa League this season at a rate of over three goals per game. They have scored 28 goals in seven home games across the two competitions, and it would be highly surprising if that run came to an end against a weakened Arsenal on Thursday.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have scored in every competitive game they have played this season and will still cause problems for PSV on Thursday, even if they opt for a weakened team. PSV have conceded 18 goals in 11 league games this season and boast by far the worst defensive record of any side in the top seven of the Eredivisie. There should be goals on Thursday night so we’ll have Both Teams to Score.

Cody Gakpo to Score Anytime

It is hard to back against Cody Gakpo Scoring Anytime at the moment. The Dutch forward has scored a hugely impressive 13 goals in 19 appearances this season in addition to providing 10 assists.

Gakpo has scored three goals in the Europa League this season, with eight of his 13 goals coming at home. He continues to be linked to some of Europe’s elite and can boost his profile even further with a goal against Arsenal on Thursday.

Fabio Vieira Anytime Assist

Fabio Vieira has made just one Premier League start since joining from Porto in the summer, but he has started all four Europa League games and it stands to reason that he will start again on Thursday night. The Portuguese midfielder has one goal and one assist to his name in the competition this season and is good value to set up one of his teammates in Eindhoven.

Vieira averages 1.3 passes per game in Europe this season and can help carve open a very open PSV defence. Arsenal have the players to do the rest so Fabio Vieira Anytime Assist rounds us off on Thursday night.
