Rangers fans start petition to get Lennon new 10-year deal

TEN MORE YEARS! TEN MORE YEARS!

Rangers supporters have started a petition to get Neil Lennon awarded a new long-term contract at Celtic Park.

It’s understood Teddy Bears fans view Lennon as the ideal man to help usher in a new period of Rangers dominance and hope the Northern Irishman puts pen to paper on a new deal.

Lennon has been instrumental in derailing Celtic’s seemingly unstoppable charge towards a 10th successive league title.

The unprecedented accomplishment looks certain to remain tantalisingly out of touch as Celtic currently trail Rangers by 11 points – albeit with 2 games in hand.

After furious Celtic fans turned up outside Parkhead to call for Lennon’s head following a 2-0 home defeat to the mighty Ross County, Gers supporters decided to intervene.

“We think Neil’s doing a wonderful job and would like to see him remain at the helm for years to come,” grinned Big Sandy Ferguson, chairman of the 600th Wee Teddy Bears Supporters Club.

“That’s why we decided to set up this petition.

Another few hundred signatures and they can start debating how sh*te Celtic are in parliament.

When asked if he thought Celtic’s chances of winning 10 in a row were over, Big Sandy replied: “I cannae believe they have the audacity to count five of those nine titles.

“They spent 4-years humping sides like Civil Service Strollers and Buckfast Thistle 5 and 6 nil when Rangers got liquidated. And they got handed the league last year when they were only a paltry 13 points clear in May,” he raged.

Meanwhile, a group of Celtic supporters have vowed to continue their wholly effective policy of gathering outside Celtic Park to hurl missiles and abuse at an empty stadium if Lennon is allowed to continue his reign as manager.

Lifelong Celtic fan wee Jock Maguire told Paddy Power News he will head straight to Parkhead if Celtic lose to AC Milan in a meaningless fixture 1200 miles away.

“Us fans deserve to have our voices heard. I’m not sure by who, coz the place will be f**king empty, but we still deserve to be heard.”
