Paddy’s football trader Emmet O’Keeffe has joined up with PPTV to preview this weekend’s Premier League basement battles. Burnley host the improving West Brom while Sheffield United travel to Fulham looking to keep their slim survival hopes alive.

This is probably not going to be the most exciting game of the weekend! I would have said before last week that Burnley will be a fairly solid bet given West Brom’s form and the fact they’ve been conceding over two goals a game.
But, I was actually a little bit impressed by them against Manchester United last week. I think they probably had the better chances in the game and held a United attack containing Bruno Fernandes, Edinson Cavani and co to fairly few chances.

Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
They look to have improved the team a bit in the January window with Ainsley Maitland-Niles coming in from Arsenal as well as the centre forward Mbaye Diagne who deservedly won man of the match last week.
I’ll have a tentative vote here at West Brom to Win.
8pm: Fulham v Sheffield United – Fulham to Win

Fulham’s xG is similar to that of a team closer to mid-table than the position they’re in. They’ve been close to getting a big result before finally delivering at Goodison Park last week.
They totally played Everton off the park, pressed them up the pitch. Everton didn’t have a shot on target in that game until the 76th minute which you wouldn’t have expected going into the match.
Saturday 8pm: Fulham v Sheffield United
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
With the signing of Josh Maja from Bordeaux, I think Fulham are potentially looking at having better prospects in the second half of the season. Sheffield United, if they weren’t doomed already, news of John Egan’s injury is just huge for them, especially given that they’ve already lost Jack O’Connell.
I give Sheffield United very little hope of winning many games throughout the rest of the season and I think Fulham to Win here is a reasonable bet.
