6.00pm: Fulham v Leicester – Draw

It has been a disappointing few days for Leicester. Brendan Rodgers’ side failed to convert their dominance over Everton into three points on Wednesday before squandering a one-goal lead against Leeds on Sunday to eventually lose 3-1.

From potential title challengers at the beginning of the point, Leicester are now nervously looking over their shoulder at the teams below them in the race for the top four. They badly need three points against Fulham on Wednesday night but may struggle against a side that comprehensively got the better of them in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

Fulham have been remarkably difficult to beat over their last nine league games – only Chelsea and Manchester United have managed it – but they have also failed to win a single league game in that period.

Scott Parker’s side have drawn seven of their last nine games and that failure to win games will ultimately be their undoing in their battle to stay in the Premier League. However, they are hard to beat and Leicester’s recent form suggests that they struggle to break them down, even if their away record is among the best in the league.

7.30pm: Leeds v Everton – Everton to Win

Everton have struggled badly for consistency this season and recently suffered the highly embarrassing experience of Newcastle United doing the double over them. The Toffees, however, are unbeaten on their travels since that away defeat to Newcastle at the beginning of November in a run spanning five league games.

They boast the fourth-best away record in the league despite playing two fewer games than most clubs and have an opportunity to put that Newcastle defeat behind them against a Leeds side that has been equally inconsistent.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have the sixth-worst home record in the league, winning just one-third of their games at Elland Road so far. Leeds have picked up 18 of their 29 Premier League points away from home and seem to really struggle for form at Elland Road. Everton can capitalise on that and put the horrendous Newcastle defeat from their minds.

8.15pm: Aston Villa v West Ham – Aston Villa to Win

Aston Villa and West Ham have been the two surprise packages in the league this season. Both earmarked as possible relegation candidates, the two clubs have exceeded all expectations and are now more than capable of launching a bid for the Europa League.

Villa have been the more impressive of the two teams and are somewhat unlucky not to be further up the table. They were easily the better team against Burnley last Wednesday, for example, but came out the wrong side of a 3-2 defeat, while they were also on the wrong end of dodgy decisions against both Manchester clubs in recent weeks.

Villa were also hard done by when they lost to West Ham at the London Stadium in November, when Ollie Watkins’ stoppage time equaliser was ruled out because his arm was offside even though he had been fouled in the box in the build-up.

They have an excellent chance to exact revenge on Wednesday night and should do so against a West Ham side that looked out of sorts against Liverpool on Sunday.
