Manchester United will play Liverpool on Tuesday in the two sides’ first pre-season friendly ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

For United, it’s a quick stop on their summer tour, as they travel to Australia to play A-League side Melbourne Victory, as well as Crystal Palace and Aston Villa whilst Down Under.

Liverpool are sticking in south Asia for longer, and will also play Crystal Palace later in the week in Singapore before heading back to Europe, as Jurgen Klopp assesses his team before their first Prem fixture at Fulham on Saturday, August 6.

Man Utd v Liverpool Kick-Off Time

Manchester United and Liverpool will meet in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday, July 12 at 14:00 BST.

The match will be played at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok.

Man Utd v Liverpool Match Odds

Liverpool come into the game as the favourites after finishing above United in last season’s Premier League. The Anfield club were the runners-up behind Manchester City, whilst United could only muster a sixth-placed finish. You can see the latest match odds on our snazzy widgets below.

But could the change of manager reap rewards for the Old Trafford side? A pre-season win for the Red Devils against a strong opposition may convince more targets to join the Erik ten Haag revolution.

Man Utd v Liverpool Team News

United have taken a squad of 31 on their pre-season tour. But a notable absentee is Cristiano Ronaldo, who has not made the trip as he seeks to pursue a move away from Old Trafford. Phil Jones, Brandon Williams and Andreas Periera have also not travelled with the squad amid speculation over their futures.

Surprise inclusions include Anthony Martial, who looked destined to leave the club after a loan spell at Sevilla in the second half of last season. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Alex Telles and Axel Tuanzebe, who are all rumoured to have been told they can leave the club, also made the trip. New £13m signing from Feyenoord, Dutch left-back Tyrell Malacia will look to stake his claim for a regular slot in the side too.

Liverpool have a slightly larger squad at their disposal, with 37 seats on the plane. Darwin Nunez makes the trip following his £64m summer switch from Benfica, alongside Fabio Carvalho who’s joined from Fulham. Also on the plane are Mo Salah and Joe Gomez, who’ve both recently signed new long term contracts.

Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi all left the club since the end of the last season. But Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has travelled with the side, despite falling out of favour last season, and being in the final year of his contract.
