Monday Night Football in Week 11 of the NFL will feature the eagerly awaited Super Bowl rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes, the current front-runners for NFL MVP, are the main attractions of the primetime match.
Following their bye weeks, the 8-1 Eagles, who won the NFC, and the 7-2 Chiefs, who won the Super Bowl, are both in contention. Despite the fact that this is an AFC v NFC match, both teams are leading their respective conferences. A loss for either side could affect the teams’ overall records in the hunt for the top seed and a postseason bye week so this game has all the makings of a classic.
Kansas City Chiefs to Win
The visitors will find it challenging to break the historical trend of Andy Reid following the bye and against the Eagles. With an extra week to prepare for an opponent, regular season or not, Reid has a career record of 28-4. When leading Kansas City against his old team, Philadelphia, he is 4-0, including in Super Bowl 57.
Because of their superior overall defence, the Chiefs are better able to contain Hurts than the Eagles are at stopping Mahomes’ downfield passes. Additionally, Reid will once again outcoach Nick Sirianni, and the Chiefs will have some clever new wrinkles. I’m taking Chiefs on the Money Line.
Under 45.5 Points
The Eagles are masters at shortening games due to their ability to run the ball well. I think Nick Sirianni will aim to chew as much clock as possible to limit the Chiefs high powered offence.
While I still fell the Chiefs will have too much for them I think the Eagles will keep the clock ticking, and the score down. Primetime Unders have been the play all year, so let’s hope the trend continues on Monday.
Hurts is carrying a knee injury meaning he must stay in the pocket more often due to his limited mobility, which may lead to more check-down passes to the running back. This complements the D’Andre Swift Over 2.5 receptions prop flawlessly.
Given that Swift has at least three catches in four of his previous six games, the bar is low for this one. Hurts may be forced to look Swift’s way more frequently by the Chiefs’ tough defence of opposing wide receivers this season, particularly with Dallas Goedert out of the lineup.
AJ Brown under 85.5 Receiving yards
A.J. Brown has balled out this season, but this looks like a tough spot for the Eagles’ superstar wideout. The Chiefs have been stout vs star receivers this year. Their secondary is seriously underrated I’m targeting Brown to go Under because 85.5 yards is a high bar. He will be doing very well to get over that number.
Travis Kelce Any Time Touchdown Scorer
Kelce is Mahomes man. When in need of six points number 87 is the go to target. Kelce managed to find the endzone against the Eagles in the Superbowl and I like his chances to repeat that feat in Arrowhead. He’s accounted for four TD’s already this year. He will be able to exploit the Eagles weak secondary especially coming off a bye he will have his homework done. Expect him to score on Monday.
