12:45 Better Days Ahead (NAP)

Gordon Elliott drops BETTER DAYS AHEAD (NAP) in trip and class after running him in a 2m4f Grade 2 event at this venue. That decision may pay dividends, though Asian Master rates a serious threat having beaten a shorter-priced stablemate at Thurles. His rider’s claim means that he gets 15lb from the Elliott runner.

13:20 Fenway Park

A strong maiden hurdle with plenty of these looking like nice staying prospects. My Trump Card has looked progressive but will need to jump better than when beaten at odds on at Fairyhouse earlier in the month. It may be worth taking a chance on FENWAY PARK who chased home a nice prospect at Naas and that form looks solid. Dr Eggman should improve stepping up in trip and the same can be said for The Story So Far.

13:55 Lord Erskine

Harvard Guy won a similar race to this over C&D last time but he’s 10lb worse off with LORD ERSKINE who was only two lengths back in second and he may be capable to reverse the form. Catch The Beast is an obvious danger having been popular in the market before his recent win and it’s hard to rule out Drumbear back over timber.

14:30 Chosen Diamond

This is wide open with the tentative vote going to CHOSEN DIAMOND who hasn’t been at his best over fences of late but looks like a major player from his lower hurdle mark. Mighty Jeremy showed a bit more last time out and should be involved if building on that. All For Rachel looked promising last year and may progress now handicapping, despite a low-key effort last time out.

15:05 Sandor Clegane

This looks like a warm race for a beginners’ contest. SANDOR CLEGANE could be the one back down in class having run with credit in a Grade 2 last time out. He’s closely matched on hurdle form with Senior Chief and Henry de Bromhead’s seven-year-old should relish the step back up in trip. Similar can be said for Digby who will appreciate more of a stamina test and both My Immortal and Minella Cocooner can’t be ruled out in a wide open heat.

16:42 Tangental

It may be worth taking a chance with TANGENTAL who was in good form over hurdles before a break and may have needed last month’s run at Fairyhouse. His only start over fences was for another stable in 2021 and he is weighted to uphold form with St Denis’s Well whom he relegated to fourth when winning a 3m handicap hurdle at Clonmel last March. Rochestown, and Eagle Terrace are appealing on recent form.

16:15 Cest Te Chance

This looks likely to boil down to a duel between two once-raced point-to-point winners. The Mullins-trained CEST TA CHANCE, a recruit from Pat Doyle’s top nursery, may have the measure of Trim Castle who joined the Gigginstown team after his success in the spring. Lough Owel also won a point but was no match for a Mullins runner on his bumper debut.
