Hamilton 13:45 – Banner Road

Improving filly got off the mark over a mile at Ayr in July. Went up another 3 lbs for finishing runner up there over 7 furlongs before being narrowly beaten overr this course and distance last month. May have found the ground on the quick side here last time and should prefer today’s easier conditions
Leicester 14:05 – Diamondsonthesand
1.5 points each way
Diamondsinthesand looks good for at least a place in this in the conditions race at Leicester as he has run well on soft and heavy in the past but remains a maiden after 17 races under rules at distances up to a mile which he tried for the first time in his last race when second at Kempton. His best run to date and shown plenty of improvement, this race is weak and anything like a repeat will see him go close.
Hamilton 14:55 – Midnight Lir
3 points win
Midnight Lir was unlucky last time and when 4th of 6 at Chester in a better race than this today. Lost it early on when missing the break on that tight turning track and given the nature of that track I’m more than happy to ignore. Comes here in excellent consistent form and this race looks like it won’t take much winning.
Warwick 15:05 – Gold Link
1.5 points each way
Gold Link has been in really good form over fences recently, winning at Stratford by 8 lengths, and followed that up with a 3rd and 2nd place at Bangor and Stratford respectively. He has recorded some of his best figures on each of his last 3 runs and can continue to improve on this same mark of 120. He has chase form whereas others in the field are making their debut over fences so that experience can make a lot of difference today.
Leicester 15:50 – Sarah’s Verse
1.5 points each way
Sarah’s Verse has definitely disappointed in last couple of starts but had been running very consistently before that. Has dropped now down to a mark which saw a win at Easter in a big field and has an each way chance at least here with the softer conditions being another big bonus.
Warwick 16:15 – Tikkinthebox
1.5 points each way
Timkinthebox has a good record over fences winning 7 of his 36 so far, and he has finished 2nd on each of his last two starts, only going down by a neck last time. He is 1lb higher but his penultimate 2nd was achieved in a Class 4 and so this Class 5 can bring improvement, especially as he is now 26lbs lower than his last winning mark, he’s extremely dangerous.
Hamilton 16:40 – Jaminoz
1.5 points each way
One well worth taking a chance on at the prices here as it looks overpriced. Although yet to win here has run some very good races at this track and interesting that the only time today’s jockey rode him before, resulted in a win. Savy trainer who is has a brilliant record here over the last 5 seasons and should be outrunning his odds again today.
Hamilton 17:15 – Guest List
1.5 points each way
Guest List has been dropped twelve pounds in the handicap since she last ran over course and distance in June and she has fallen 25 pounds since running over course and distance in September 2022 in her first run for Katie Scott after transferring from Kevin Ryan. If she retains any of the speed that saw her win as a two year old she must be competitive here off a mark of only 49 she ran too freely last time at Catterick and faded to last after leading.
