Newcastle betting tips:

17:00 – Jubilee Girl
17:30 – Kings Gem
18:00 – Enraged
18:30 – Canberra Legend
19:00 – Odd Socks Havana
19:30 – Velma
20:00 – Zegos Surprise

17:00 – Jubilee Girl

Three of the six runners are making their stable debuts with Typewritten and the unexposed Casa Luna possibilities from that group. Buxted Too is much respected in his bid for the four-timer as he only appears to do just enough, but he may struggle to confirm recent C&D running with JUBILEE GIRL (nap) on 5lb worse terms, especially as Karl Burke’s filly remains unexposed.

17:30 – Kings Gem

Just the four runners but this looks trappy. Lady Lavina returns to handicap company after 137 days off, but she does seem better on the AW (on Polytrack at least) than turf so she can’t be dismissed, while the consistent Evolicatt shouldn’t be far away despite this being her 19th start already. However, this may be the chance for KING’S GEM to break his duck after having finished a close third behind an in-form rival at Lingfield last time. He is also the least exposed in the field.

18:00 – Enraged

Level Up (second choice) has thrived under the tutelage of David Evans and brings very solid credentials to the table, while Melody King is weighted to have a say if, as expected, building on his recent C&D seventh after a lay-off. In-form duo Yaahobby and Kraken Power also need factoring in but ENRAGED comes here on an upward curve and is taken to go one better than when an excellent second over C&D last time.

18:30 – Canberra Legend

Both United Force and Sir John Monash have already shown ability with the former looking the best of those to have run. However, there are a couple of interesting newcomers up against him, the pick appearing to be CANBERRA LEGEND who is bred to be useful and represents last year’s winning stable.

19:00 – Odd Socks Havana

A few with chances. No Diggity got back to winning ways at Kempton and isn’t taken lightly with this return to 1m also a positive, while in-form pair Mr Coco Bean (second choice) and Laoch Gach La are a long time without a victory but ought to be in the shake-up. ODD SOCKS HAVANA looked right back to his best when scoring over C&D last time, however, and he can follow up last year’s success in this event.

19:30 – Velma

Both Pallas Lord and Possible Ambition make the shortlist having proved themselves under the conditions, while Martin’s Brig is another to consider. However, the vote goes to VELMA whose two wins have come over C&D and she has been beaten under 2l in all three starts since the turn of the year. Copper Mountain suggested a return to form last time and could pose the main threat if building on that.

20:00 – Zegos Surprise

Blackcurrent showed a good attitude when edging out ZEGOS SURPRISE over C&D last week and seems sure to be on the premises once more but he has to concede 4lb to that rival this time around so Iain Jardine’s new recruit gets the vote. Mutabaahy came in a close fourth on that occasion and can again have a say along with in-form Storm Master.
