13:50 – Kempton – Moon King (Wolverhampton Express & Star)
MOON KING has raced in better contests this term, winning Class 3 at Worcester (2m7f, good) then well held in Class 2 at Cheltenham; drops in grade but looks weighted to the hilt (remains on career-high mark) and should run well here.
14:20 – Kempton – Dorking Lad (The Guardian)
DORKING LAD was successful twice over 2m4f (good/soft) as a novice chaser last term; stayed on for third over 2m2f here on reappearance; possibilities back up in distance with that outing under his belt.
14:30 – Musselburgh – Monte Igueldo (Daily Telegraph)
This can go to MONTE IGUELDO, who has got his career back on track this season and cruised clear to win by 15l on his recent chasing debut. With today’s forecast slower ground in his favour, he ought to cope with a 7lb rise. Benefit Run is not an easy one to predict but this summer’s run at Galway makes him a potential danger.
15:05 – Musselburgh – Chti Balko (Daily Mirror)
After two good efforts this autumn, Cuban Cigar has pretty solid claims but class-dropper CHTI BALKO makes his seasonal debut from a very dangerous mark and gets the vote in the hope he has been refreshed by a seven-month break. Fostered Phil has been absent for two years since his maiden win but market support will make him of strong interest.
