17:10 – Presentandcounting

Back down in distance, PRESENTANDCOUNTING looks well capable of defying a penalty for his Uttoxeter success two starts ago. His stablemate Son Of Aliciaslady, who may improve for the new trip, is the suggested second choice but These Happy Daze and Quiet Thunder also have possibilities in the fairly tricky call for the runner-up spot.

17:40 – Barest Of Margins

Granted a clear round, BAREST OF MARGINS may well be the answer. He was clear with the eventual winner when falling two out at Uttoxeter and is still open to further progress over fences. Second choice is Punxsutawney Phil, who seems likely to benefit from the first-time headgear. Hat-trick seeker Bempton Cliffs and chase debutant Annual Review complete the shortlist.

18:10 – Shareef Star

Donald McCain holds a strong hand with interesting chase debutant Master Malachy (narrow second choice) and largely progressive novice chaser Bob’s Bar. However, the Peter Bowen-trained SHAREEF STAR is preferred as he skipped away for an impressive success here last month and looks better than ever.

18:40 – Dead Right

The vote goes to DEAD RIGHT who is best caught fresh and, despite being a 10yo, remains unexposed over hurdles. He’s interesting back in this sphere on his reappearance. Wbee is feared most, ahead of Latino Fling. Summer Plate winner Francky Du Berlais looks well handicapped but he’s not certain to be in the same form back hurdling.

19:10 – Charlie Uberalles

Farouk De Cheneau, for the Henderson yard, may be capable of a first British success provided he takes well to fences and stays the new trip. However, CHARLIE UBERALLES and Aviewtosea are already chase winners at this distance and taken to fill the first two places, in that order.

19:40 – Rafiki (NAP)

Preference is for RAFIKI (nap) who, judged on Flat form, has been let in lightly on his handicap hurdle debut. Red Vision, another runner who looks open to further progress over hurdles, is second choice ahead of recent C&D scorer Long Call.

20:15 – Leading Theatre

The combination of a step up in distance and switch to handicap level gives LEADING THEATRE a very bright chance. She looks well treated on her bumper form and gets the vote ahead of Malina Ocarina, who is proving consistent this season. Course winner Simply Red is third on the shortlist, followed by Dicey Rielly.
