14:00 – Blowing Dixie

There was only a nose seperating Darkened and Listentillitellyea over C&D earlier in the week. The latter might be capable of reversing that form on slightly better terms but they both had a hard race that day and it might be worth taking a chance on BLOWING DIXIE. The six-year-old posted a promising return on the Flat and he looked capable from this sort of mark last year. Unanswered is an obvious danger to all if he takes up this engagement.

14:30 – Balinaboola Steel

Perceval Legallois looks well treated after his recent maiden hurdle success and Not So Simple is another last time out winner on a workable mark. The tentative vote goes to BALINABOOLA STEEL who was back to his best over fences last time and he can go well from a similar hurdle mark.

15:05 – Battleoverdoyen (NAP)

It’s hard to oppose last year’s winner, BATTLEOVERDOYEN (nap), who ran a massive race in the Plate on Wednesday and he should be hard to beat provided that he’s no worse for that run just four days later. Politesse has each-way claims if she can back up her latest success and Doctor Duffy is another capable of hitting the frame if he puts his best foot forward.

15:40 – Benefit Run

Having run well on all three starts here, BENEFIT RUN can improve on his runner-up effort in this last year, especially now that he is 3lb lower in the weights. Last year’s third Zarkareva looks to be the pick of the de Bromhead trio, while Willie Mullins’ Robinnia is respected. Sil Ver Klass and Russian Diamond are of interest.

16:10 – Current Option

Ado McGuinness launches a seven-pronged challenge here and his CURRENT OPTION can win it for the third year in succession. His stablemates Casanova, Saltonstall and Pierre Lapin can all run well. On A Session has been placed in this for the last three years, so has to be considered, along with Lexington Dash and Lord Dudley.

16:40 – Wild Rover

Some nice prospects in here including Red Letter Bray who should progress from his debut. However, WILD ROVER has shown enough to suggest he can win a maiden and there’s every chance he will improve for this step up in trip. Evening’s Empire showed a bit more last time and might be capable of outrunning likely decent odds.

17:10 – Lady Arwen

The complexion of this race could be altered if significant rain arrives, bringing Joe Masseria, Princess Azure and Way To Win into calculations. The percentage call is LADY ARWEN, who handles any ground and posted a fine effort over 7f here earlier in the week. The Pargey Bee, Three Laws and Eighty Eight can run well.

17:40 – No Risk No Fun

A strong winners’ bumper to close the meeting. NO RISK NO FUN was a very easy winner on debut and is difficult to oppose even against fellow impressive winners Mon Coeur and Marine National. This Songisforyou is a fascinating runner being turned out again after winning on Monday.
