15:45 – Finn’s Charm
The form standard is set by FINN’S CHARM who, in common with so many Johnston horses, looks likely to grab the early lead and keep on rolling. He was a close third from the front at Yarmouth. Holloway Boy, the pick of the newcomers, is feared most.

16:16 – Fashion Advice
The Jim Goldie pair Primo’s Comet and Rory (second choice) have winning form over C&D and a case can be made for both. Street Life could go well from the stands’ rail draw, but preference is for FASHION ADVICE who has also won here and ran really well to go down only narrowly on her recent Carlisle return.
16:45 – Sacred Jewel
There should be more to come from SACRED JEWEL, who is taken to follow up her Leicester reappearance success. Second choice is Le Beau Garcon, who was progressive at novice level last term. Texas Man should make a bold bid against the stands’ rail, Alia Choice is open to further improvement back at 5f and Shanko is another for the shortlist.
17:15 – Evaluation
There is no great temptation to side against EVALUATION who has been such a rising force in staying handicaps and impressed with the way he grabbed the initiative over 1f out last time at York. Geremia was a promising third in that race, but the inconsistent Baileys Derbyday is feared more given that he could have potential stepping up in trip. Fairly useful hurdler Tronador will probably have his supporters despite being so far out of the handicap.

17:45 – Pearl Glory
Most of the appealing types are among the 3yos, headed by PEARL GLORY who has a leading chance on the figures. Second choice is the improving Morag McCullagh, ahead of the interesting St Albans Bloodstock fillies Eidikos and Clitheroe. Assuming she transfers her Bahrain form to British soil, Happy Craf is the pick of the older runners.
18:15 – Tamaska
In-form TAMASKA has solid claims and could well defy top weight. Danzan and Bringitonboris tie in with the selection on York running two weeks ago, while the Gordon Elliott-trained Business (second choice) is interesting back over 7f.
18:45 – Wickywickywheels
While lots of these have very plausible each-way credentials, clear preference for win purposes is for WICKYWICKYWHEELS (nap) given the manner of her last-to-first win over 1m3f at Hamilton. She is lightly raced and can overcome her 4lb rise. Graces Quest, back at Musselburgh and back up to 1m4f, is second on the list. Emaraty Hero is well capable of being seriously involved, as would the splendidly progressive Colinton if it was an aberration when he produced a seemingly marked negative reaction to the right-hand turns here three starts ago.
