WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

13:52 – Give Me A Cuddle

Royal Lake took a good step forward when switched to good ground at Warwick in March and probably won’t go down without a fight but Neil King’s stoutly bred 6yo GIVE ME A CUDDLE showed enough speed to win a Huntingdon bumper last month and ought to have significant untapped potential over this sort of trip over jumps.

14:22 – Rose Ohara

Jamie Snowden holds a strong hand with ROSE OHARA and Howdilyoudo, in that slight order of preference. Rose Ohara is open to progress on just her second attempt over fences, while chase debutante Howdilyoudo holds solid claims. Princess Midnight, for the Tizzard stable, may prove best of the remainder.

14:52 – Top Brass

The most appealing option in this very modest race is TOP BRASS, who has some fairly useful Flat form on his CV and ran well for a long way on his last two starts over hurdles (once over C&D). Appreciate spoiled his chance by jumping persistently left on his handicap debut at Taunton but remains unexposed over hurdles and might have a better run in him on this left-handed track. His stablemate, Janus, has been absent for a long time but will be dangerous if his old ability remains.

15:22 – Ragamuffin (NAP)

Low-mileage 6yo Gambie Tiep ran well in defeat over hurdles in March and could easily have more to offer over fences but this looks a good opportunity for four-time hurdle winner RAGAMUFFIN (nap), who bumped into a rejuvenated opponent when second on his chasing debut a fortnight ago.

15:52 – Martha Brae

Last-time-out winner Lily Glitters is the one with least to prove and ought to play a significant role but MARTHA BRAE looked a fair way ahead of her mark when winning on her stable debut in the autumn and can collect this prize if back on song after a break. Catchmeifyoucan also has claims if ready to roll after her break.

16:22 – Lakota Warrior

It’s worth giving another chance to LAKOTA WARRIOR, who didn’t live up to market expectations last time but now drops back to the same grade as for his Doncaster win. All of his rivals have something to prove on one count or another but, from a handicapping perspective, Realm Keeper may claim the silver medal provided the blinkers work well.

16:52 – Copshill Lad

Milton Harris sponsors this race, and his COPSHILL LAD, a recruit from Irish points, looks the type to enhance the stable’s excellent recent record in bumpers. The Kniphand made a pleasing debut at Bangor and is clear second choice, ahead of the Irish raider Mullinaree and the debutante Petit Bijou.
