A big field but not many can be fancied. The trip is a slight worry for LUNA MAGIC, whose best form is over a bit further, but otherwise she has plenty in her favour and may notch her sixth win in the hands of Brodie Hampson. The main threat could be the veteran C&D winner Fieldsman, with Star Of Valour, Inner Circle and Lethal Angel also considered.

Oman, successful on this card 12 months ago, should be a big player again but the verdict goes to SPIRIT MIXER who has already had a run to blow away the cobwebs and could be ready to strike.
15:17 – Katey Kontent
The only one with experience on her side, Evolicatt is the obvious starting point and it’s not difficult to envisage her being in front at halfway, but she meets some newcomers with appealing profiles. Top of the list is KATEY KONTENT from a yard whose juveniles have begun the season well. Others to catch the eye on paper include Angelic Divas, Baccarat Baby and Jilted.
15:52 – Bling On The Music
Jimi Hendrix sets the standard on form and looks a strong contender despite a 7lb penalty, but BLING ON THE MUSIC is open to any amount of improvement and gets the vote. Support for one of the newcomers would be significant in a race that should throw up plenty of future winners.

16:27 – Postmark
Cabrakan’s good third at Beverley last time sets the standard and he should go well, but the three making their reappearance all have potential. Box To Box and Yarralumla (second choice) are tempting but POSTMARK (nap) has an appealing profile and can improve for today’s step up in distance.
17:02 – Chairman
All four of these should be winning sooner or later but CHAIRMAN has chased home smart horses in his first two races and this looks easier. Havaila represents a great family but Ring Fenced and Valsad shaped nicely in recent Newbury maidens and are feared most in that order of preference.
17:35 – Queen Aminatu
Centrallia is potentially thrown in on the form she showed second time out at Newmarket and if strong in the betting she would be hard to resist. However, as things stand, QUEEN AMINATU is taken to defy a 7lb rise for winning a Lingfield handicap with a good bit up her sleeve. Rock Melody isn’t without hope and it will be interesting to see which of the Hannon fillies is preferred in the market.
