17:25 – Timeless Melody

Godolphin’s TIMELESS MELODY gets the nod. She showed plenty to work on when fourth in a novice at Newcastle in February and could therefore leave that debut run behind over this extra couple of furlongs. Newcomers Glorious Romance and Hello Jumeirah look likely types on paper for John & Thady Gosden and William Haggas respectively, and it’ll be very interesting to see how much strength there is behind them in the betting.

18:00 – Guess

Only a handful of these make any serious appeal in this maiden, with GUESS getting the verdict on his first start for Ralph Beckett. His staying-on fourth at Dundalk in January looks the best form on offer and he can make it third time lucky with a repeat effort. All Go showed ability at the first time of asking when finishing runner-up at Lingfield so she heads up the opposition, ahead of Falesia Beach.

18:30 – Busby

BUSBY is always to be feared round here and he is weighted to garner a sixth victory at the track. He made it three wins from six starts since joining Phil Kirby when awarded a race at Wolverhampton last time after being hampered close home. Ilhabela Fact also boasts a good record over course and distance and rates much the biggest threat, with the returning Swallowdale appealing as the pick of the remainder.

19:00 – Balqaa

BALQAA is still on a feasible mark based on her latest run at Newcastle when having to weave her way through from the rear for a never-nearer third so she’s the suggestion. Across The Nile has struck up a good partnership with Hollie Doyle this year and heads the dangers along with last weekend’s Wolverhampton second Light Lily.

19:30 – Silver Dollar

Unexposed SILVER DOLLAR appeals as one who could have more to give on the back of his Wolverhampton handicap debut success in first-time cheekpieces so he gets the nod. Recent Wolverhampton one-two The Nail Gunner and Calin’s Lad should get involved again, while Mashaan would also be a player if showing up (due to run at Chelmsford on Thursday).

20:00 – Jungle Run

JUNGLE RUN looks to have several pounds in hand turned out again under a 6 lb penalty for his seven-length success at Chelmsford last week provided he’s none the worse for his exertions here on Wednesday when pulling hard over seven furlongs. The drop back to six should suit. Suanni is feared most on the back of his course and distance second on his final start last year, while handicap debutante Atomise has more to offer and is also in the mix.

20:30 – Catbird Seat

CATBIRD SEAT did well to get up at Wolverhampton last time despite a rough passage on his first try over a staying trip and he’s a confident choice to go in again. Blazon has a good strike rate on the all-weather and ran with credit last time, so he’s considered a danger, while Magellan could play a part with Ben Curtis taking over from an inexperienced claimer.
