14:10 Taunton – Inca De Lafayette (888Sport, Steve Mullington)

Comfortable C&D winner on British debut in February; form of that is nothing special but prospect of further improvement makes him an attractive proposition

15:20 Ffos Las – Amateur (Daily Mail, Robin Goodfellow)

Below best during light campaign this season but didn’t run badly when fifth in Borders National at Kelso (4m, soft) two starts ago and is now only 5lb higher than when winning this race in good style a year ago; tried in blinkers last time; usual cheekpieces back on today.

16:40 Aintree – Gunsight Ridge (Irish Post, Karl Hedley)

Seemed to be caught out by this sharp test in November but has the edge of Bun Doran on their Sandown run in January (1m7f, heavy; also suited by good to soft) and was better than the bare result there in February; unlike many of these runners he has some potential.

17:00 Gowran Park – You Owe Me Money (Irish Daily Star, Brian Flanagan)

Maiden after 10 but has run creditably all four tries for this yard, including when a bit unlucky in third at the Curragh on comeback behind Massaman; solid chance off 2lb higher; non-runner (reserve) in the 5.20 at Leopardstown Wednesday.
