It’s business time in the 2023/24 Premier League season as we hurtle downhill at full speed towards the climax of the campaign. Liverpool travel to London to face West Ham and fire the starting pistol another busy weekend before we’re treated to two games on the box on Saturday night.

Everton and Brentford are both looking to sure up their Premier League status at 5.30pm before anything could happen as Chelsea face Aston Villa at Villa Park in the late game. There’s a mouth-watering north London derby at 2pm on Sunday before Nottingham Forest prepare to protect what they can of their goal difference as Pep Guardiola’s swashbuckling Manchester City head to the City Ground.

So, with so much action to get stuck in to, it’s only right that we bring in our resident tipster and Premier League predicting guru, Mark Lawrenson who’s champing at the bit to two-foot game week 35 on the calendar.

Saturday 12.30pm: West Ham v Liverpool

TV: TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate

West Ham, it would appear, are looking for a new manager. I’m not sure they’ve told David Moyes that he’s going to go but hey ho! West Ham got battered at Crystal Palace at the weekend so Moyes will want to improve on that. Liverpool have to respond, Jurgen Klopp will get a tune out of them at the weekend. They owe him one after Wednesday. West Ham 1-2 Liverpool.

Saturday 3pm: Fulham v Crystal Palace

It’s interesting for Crystal Palace at the moment because their two star men are back in Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise and the big centre forward Jean-Philippe Mateta has started scoring which is great for them. Fulham lost to Liverpool last time but this can be anything with these two. Fulham 2-1 Crystal Palace.

Saturday 3pm: Man United v Burnley

Burnley are on a bit of a run and they had a good win at Sheffield United so they’ll definitely give Manchester United a game. I just don’t think they’ve got enough against United even if they keep tripping themselves over. That FA Cup semi final was mad but I’ll back them here. Manchester United 2-0 Burnley.

Saturday 3pm: Newcastle v Sheff United

Newcastle will be looking to put that loss to Crystal Palace in the week right and what a strange result it was. Newcastle still have players out but it seems Alexander Isak is back in the mix. Newcastle 3-0 Sheffield United.

Saturday 3pm: Wolves v Luton

Wolves need a win and they lost again on Wednesday. Gary O’Neil won’t be happy and Brentford just tore them apart last week. It’s a good chance for them to finally win again. Wolves 2-1 Luton.

Saturday 5.30pm: Everton v Brentford

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Ivan Toney hasn’t featured in Brentford’s last two but they’ve been unplayable without him up front. This will be interesting game because it could be after the Lord Mayor’s Show for Everton given what they put in against Liverpool in the derby. I’ll go for a draw and Everton are fine in terms of staying up now. Everton 1-1 Brentford.

Saturday 8pm: Aston Villa v Chelsea

TV: TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate

You don’t know what to say about Chelsea anymore, do you, because it’s just mad! Aston Villa are very, very good and it looks like they’ll be in the Champions League next year, helped by another win here. It will be interesting to see what happens behind the scenes at Chelsea at the end of the season. Aston Villa 2-0 Chelsea.

Sunday 2pm: Bournemouth v Brighton

Bournemouth had a great win at Wolves with 10 man on Wednesday night and Brighton got a pasting against Manchester City on Thursday night. This might just be a draw but it should be a good game. Bournemouth 1-1 Brighton.

Sunday 2pm: Tottenham v Arsenal

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

This is arguably Arsenal’s biggest game all season, given that it’s at Tottenham and they’re going for the title. Spurs have stuttered a bit but I’m going to go for an entertaining draw. The North London Derbies are normally pretty good to watch. Tottenham 2-2 Arsenal.

Sunday 4.30pm: Nott’m Forest v Man City

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

I’ll go for a comfortable win for Manchester City as they keep going about their business as per usual. They’ll have one eye on Spurs v Arsenal I think but they don’t get distracted, do they? Nottingham Forest 0-2 Manchester City.
