Each and every day of the racing calendar we bring you a punt-packed NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the picks you’ll require for that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that great guide to work for us, so we’re going to use it to point you in the direction what could be a smart Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
ECEPARTI returns having been absent from the track since February and he is up to winning races off his existing mark. On the plus side, his trainer Venetia Williams claimed a highly competitive handicap chase at Carlisle on Sunday with one coming back from a very a similar absence to our selection. Dark Flame and On Call could be the biggest dangers in the field.
NOT AVAILABLE did not require his best effort to take a four-runner novice chase at Kilbeggan back in July. He has subsequently been a good runner-up twice since he was switched to handicaps on his next pair of outings. The latter of those came on debut for trainer Matt Sheppard at Worcester a fortnight ago, having left the Henry De Bromhead yard.
FOREVER WILLIAM catches the eye most after his burst in finishing at this track last out. He was a third of 13 in handicap when that race took place at the end of September, staying on well in the process. Alan King’s charge will also have cheekpieces on for the first time.
WYNFORD has been brought back to life by Rebecca Menzis and won over hurdles Market Rasen at the start of July. He has also gone on to claim victory three times on the Flat, at Newcastle, Beverley and Pontefract respectively. Now back over timber, the gelding sits on a workable mark.
Lucky 15 tips today: Wednesday’s best bets from across the tracks using our NAPs table
