13:00 Sinndarella

Crystal Gazing will be very hard to beat if somewhere near the level of form she showed when second at Ludlow last autumn but her overall record is not compelling and she’s not an easy one to predict. Perhaps a safer option is SINNDARELLA, who was very modest on the Flat but has taken surprisingly well to hurdling this season and ought to be suited by today’s step up in trip. Irish point winner Trickalight is also of interest.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

13:35 Finisk River (NAP)

There should be more to come from Eyeofthescorpion this year, while last-time-out winners Northern Bound and Isthebaropen are also respected but the one to beat is FINISK RIVER (nap), who was raised only 2lb for his clear second at Perth four weeks ago and had that form nicely boosted when the winner comfortably followed up there on Wednesday. Furthermore, he’ll he suited by the return to this C&D and won’t mind if there’s rain about.

14:10 Roi De Dubai

Rock On Rocco has won twice over 2m4f this year and today’s move up in trip may enable further progress, but Irish-raider ROI DE DUBAI put in a very good front-running shift when second at Tipperary recently and he might also have untapped potential over 3m.

14:45 Ibbenburen

Stratford runner-up IBBENBUREN is taken to go one better and enhance Donald McCain’s good record in this contest. Stablemate October Storm also needs a close look, especially if the market speaks positively on his return from a layoff. Fontana Ellissi has a major chance on the form of his spring win, while My Rockstar is open to improvement.

15:20 Sir Tivo

All the runners bar King Alfonso usually lead or race prominently. Class-droppers Go Long and Boagrius (preferred in that order) have both been given a chance by the handicapper but the one in prime form is SIR TIVO, who lost out only by a neck to a subsequent winner when bidding for a hat-trick 19 days ago and is 2lb ahead of the handicapper at the moment.

Bangor

15:55 G’Day Aussie

White Turf has been knocking loudly on the door in recent months and is respected but the suggestion is G’DAY AUSSIE, who shaped very well when returning from a long absence at Southwell, remains well handicapped and has his usual cheekpieces back on today. Two Blondes and Pass Rusher are others to consider.

16:25 Accordini

Wigglesworth was ahead of ACCORDINI when both were placed in a Market Rasen maiden in June but he didn’t really fire when last in action, while his old rival backed up his Market Rasen run with another good effort two weeks ago. Mel Rowley’s 9yo remains lightly raced under rules and is taken to make a winning handicap debut. Layerthorpe and Chosen Shant should also feature.

16:55 White Walker

The lightly raced 6yo WHITE WALKER has kept on for second over 2m4f the last twice and could have more to offer now up in distance. He’s the selection ahead of Stephanie Sunshine, who is an inconsistent maiden but is a player on this year’s best efforts. Norley and Glendruid are interesting handicap newcomers, particularly the last-named.
