The mare TOMORROW MYSTERY travelled well before perhaps failing to stay 2m4f here recently and that confirmed her wellbeing ahead of today’s chase debut. She’s receiving a lot of weight from the doubly penalised Beyond The Clouds, who is probably the chief threat.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
13:55 – Regaby
Falling at the very first fence was anything but the ideal start to his chasing career but REGABY can bounce straight back if none the worse. His previous run over hurdles was a positive one. Royal Plaza could be the danger with a hood reapplied.
14:30 – Blue N Yellow
This is way more competitive than division one. If better for his break then BLUE N YELLOW is temptingly handicapped on some of his form, notably a clear second over this trip last August behind the very smart Kitty’s Light. Cape Robin is feared most on the strength of his latest piece of form that’s worked out so well. Kingston King is handicapped to win again but the drop in distance is a concern.
15:05 – Easy Bucks
Several of these are considered but top of the list is recent Hexham third EASY BUCKS (nap), who is not yet fully exposed over fences and has a bit more to offer if the added cheekpieces have a positive effect. Former Irish point winner Kind Witness chased home a handicap blot on his recent chasing debut and also looks very interesting. Out For Justice, Imperial Acolyte and Cobra Angel are just some of the others with good credentials.
15:40 – Roxyana
The market should be informative, but ROXYANA fits the bill on paper and is taken to make a winning start under rules. Queen Antoinette has the right sort of profile too and could be the main danger, with Leading Theatre, Frankie Moon and Queenhill others with possibilities. Tiffany Rose is a C&D winner but has to concede weight all round.
16:15 – Story Of Friends
An open race. STORY OF FRIENDS was a long way from home when not giving his running at Hexham last time and, if back to his best here, he has the form to be very competitive. He is also an assured stayer, unlike the in-form Kloud Gate. Taste The Fear could be the main danger.
16:50 – Chasamax
Nicky Henderson’s CHASAMAX can go in again after shedding his maiden status without much fuss at Uttoxeter, though Kentucky Hardboot is fully entitled to make it interesting in receipt of 5lb.
17:25 – Do Ya Feel Lucky
A chance is taken on DO YA FEEL LUCKY, who showed flashes of decent form in Ireland and now returns from wind surgery. Chosen Shant is second choice, ahead of Opine.
