11:40 – OSSUN SET

OSSUN SET was a staying-on second at Compiegne in March and is having a first start for new trainer Andrea Marcialis. The in-form handler has booked Pierre-Charles Boudot to ride and he should have a good understanding of her ability, having trained the horse, Broken Land who managed to win that Compiegne contest.

Alyshka looks the main danger for trainer Fabrice Chappet with this filly having her third start under jockey Vincent Cheminaud. This will be her first start away from Chantilly, where she finished fifth more recently having faded in the closing stages. Little Queenie is just one of the other contenders who might reach the places if improving during the winter for Henri-Alex Pantall.

12:10 – TERRE DE FRANCE

Kongastet looks very exposed having 15-career starts without victory, but did improve to finish third at Saint-Cloud in March. Mickael Barzalona takes the ride for Andrea Marcialis who also runs Moving On under jockey Tony Piccone – he finished eight on debut at Chantilly back in February and might show some improvement today.

TERRE DE FRANCE has tasted success previously and gets the verdict to improve from a comeback ninth place finished at Saint-Cloud earlier this month. Frederic Rossi has made the decision to drop him into claiming company today with Maxime Guyon booked to ride. The Manager looks the main danger having finished an excellent second to Port Guillaume in February and has a serious chance.

13:25 – WILD MAJESTY

A field of seven declared runners for a five-furlong maiden for three-year-olds with two of these runners making their racecourse debuts. I’m happy to side against the experienced horses and take a punt on WILD MAJESTY for Henri-Alex Pantall and Mickael Barzalona on debut. These connections recently teamed-up with winning newcomer Camogie and their Kodiac runner should perform well.

Matello has the services of Crystal Miette who takes off 9lbs in the saddle for trainer Carlos Laffon-Parias. The Wertheimer owed horse finished second twice last year and should improve for a comeback run in Strasbourg, where today’s rival Excalibur finished slightly ahead in third place.

14:35 – ON THE EDGE

The 5f sprint handicap sees a handful of runners who have shown recent signs of improvement. The consistent End Of Story got her nose in front when beaten Qayes (fourth) at Salon-De-Provence recently and both are in connection. La Mirada and our selection ON THE EDGE meet again having secured places in a bunch finish at Chantilly.

Cristian Demuro keeps the ride on La Mirada while Boudot is a positive jockey booking for On The Edge. Her return to sprinting was encouraging at Chantilly and she looks a solid each-way contender in an open affair. Victorious Champ is another with an each-way chance with Mickael Barzalona in the saddle following some previous up and down form earlier this year.
