It all started in the first race on the card at 5.30am UK and Ireland time, when Australian raider Like That held off Changcheng Prince to take the opener at 4/1, while Armor Star took the second race half an hour later, a 5/1 shot, making it a perfect pair for this prognosticator from the opening two races.

But he wasn’t stopping there – the 0.20p each-way stake wouldn’t see much of a return on those two, to be fair.

Enjoy Life and Thanks Forever, from New Zealand and Australia again, made it four straight winners in the following two races, meaning that by 7am this winner was well on his way to a stunning run of results before he’d even rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

Good Luck Friend and Scores of Fun made it six of the very best in the next two races before our winner had two take a short break from pummeling Paddy’s traders when he skipped the 8:35am race.

But it was back to winning ways at 9:05am with Exultant giving our punter a seventh winner in eight races to be, well, exultant about.

But it all could’ve fallen to pieces with a double-digit selection the final leg of this audacious acca – 11/1 Defining Moment didn’t disappoint though, and appropriately proved the crucial winner in this staggering sortie.
