18:15 Woodview (NAP)
Woodview shaped very well when runner-up to the ultra-progressive Nortonthorpe Boy (has won twice since) in a course and distance handicap in January, and again shaped well when finishing third at Wolverhampton last time. He left the impression that the extended mile just stretched him on that occasion, going with plenty of enthusiasm before being headed inside the final furlong. That form is also working out well, so Woodview appeals as being well handicapped on a mark of 65, and the return to this track and trip is expected to see him in a better light.
19:45 Broughtons Flare (NB)
Broughtons Flare hasn’t won since landing a course and distance handicap over a year ago, but in that time he has fallen to an attractive mark, and looks very interesting now starting out for an astute new yard. He lost his way dropped to five furlongs for Adam West, but shaped more encouragingly back at this distance on his final start for that yard in January, and the booking of David Probert may be a sign of intent on his first start for an in-form yard.

19:15 Trepidation (E/W)
Trepidation showed improved form when belatedly opening his account at Wolverhampton in January and ran a better race in defeat when only just beaten over this course and distance on his next start. The visor he wore on both of those starts was left off when he proved to be a disappointment at Chelmsford last time, but that track may not play to his strengths, and he looks very interesting back at this venue with the headgear back on. Trepidation is back in a handicap now, but looks well treated on the pick of his efforts, and seems sure to be involved again.
