The lightly raced GREAT ESTEEM was backed as if defeat was out of the question when cosily landing a Kempton novice on his first start for Archie Watson 17 days ago. That market strength suggests he’s well regarded by his new trainer, so an opening mark of 85 may not prevent him following up. King Of The South has gone up another 5lbs, but still looks the chief threat as he bids to make it 3-3 at this venue.

16:40 Kingdom Found

This stiff 1m should be beneficial to KINGDOM FOUND, who did well to finish as close as she did from a poor position at Lingfield last time. Heatherdown Matron appears to have her quirks, but the ability is there to play a part. Meanwhile, Pocketeer and Princess Elektra can also make their presence felt.

17:10 Rail Dancer

Van Dijk brings recent solid form into the race, albeit over a further distance and on a different surface, which should count for plenty. Your Choice hasn’t been with Mick Appleby for long and is another to consider, while Sharrabang is solid at this level and is another with a recent win to his name. RAIL DANCER is more speculative, but he hasn’t looked a spent force on his last two starts and this drop into a 0-50 could see him end his barren spell.

17:40 Streak Lightning

The addition of cheekpieces won’t need to have much of an effect for Tintoretto to play a starring role, while Al Rasmah is interesting after a wind operation and Seas Of Elzaam isn’t fully exposed on all-weather. Mark Johnston’s pair Eton College and STREAK LIGHTNING both need to bounce back from some laboured efforts, but that’s quite possible. The means Streak Lightning, who looked so promising early on, might be worth chancing.

Air Time is a respected newcomer, while Maybe One Day has a bigger effort in him at some point and the return to 6 furlongs could help. He’ll need to improve to beat CRAVED though, and William Haggas’ four-year-old should derive considerable benefit from his recent Lingfield debut to boot.

18:40 Bringing Glory

Atrafan hasn’t stood much racing, but his latest course and distance success, where he picked off another key contender in Rockley Point in the closing stages, was a good effort and he’s feared despite the 4lbs rise. Eldelbar also has claims, but BRINGING GLORY has low mileage and the form of his handicap debut fourth has received some boosts since. He can capitalise on this drop back to 6 furlongs.

19:10 Fortamour

A few of these are on dangerous marks if recapturing their best, notably Athollblair Boy and Tukhoom, while Spartan Fighter is better than he showed last time. FORTAMOUR (NAP) is only 1lb higher than for his Class 2 Ascot win on his penultimate start though, and he still has a good deal of potential over this trip.
