This Limerick team is the most talked up team since Kilkenny’s four-in-a-row side. They’re on the road to immortality. Many people believe they could do the three but they could do the four of the five.

Then you’ve got Kilkenny, Brian Cody in his 17th final and TJ Reid going for an eighth medal. If he gets it, he could go down as the greatest player of all time. Cody will be desperate to stop Limerick too so it’s nicely set up.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

It’s hard to separate both teams but the bookies are expecting Limerick to win, however, I don’t see it being easy at all. This could easily be a 50/50 game.

The first 20 minutes of this will be ferocious and there will be plenty of hits. The middle will be a war zone. The weather will also play a big part in this match.

Kilkenny and Limerick haven’t met in the Championship since 2019 but a lot has changed since that game. I feel Kilkenny are a better team now but the argument is that Limerick are better too. However, I feel they peaked last year and they’re on the other side of the mountain.

In terms of the result on Sunday, I like Limerick To Win but it’ll be a close one, so I fancy Kilkenny to cover the +3 Handicap. I only see Limerick winning by one or two points. It’s going to go right down to the wire.

Under 3.5 Goals is very likely but the odds aren’t great. You could argue that Under 2.5 Goals is a smart selection and there’s more value in it.

I’ve been looking at the Total Points market and with these two teams being matched so closely, Under +52.5 Points makes plenty of sense. Scores will be very hard to come by and the weather conditions won’t help that. It will be a dog fight and every score will have to be earned.

I also like Eoin Cody to be the First Goalscorer. He’s been brilliant for Kilkenny and he’s a big price to score first. If you’re not feeling him scoring first, there’s still value in him scoring anytime.

Aaron Gillane and TJ Reid will be the ones to watch on Sunday, however, it’s not 100 per cent that one of them will be named man of the match. Usually, someone you least expect steps up and shines.

Adrian Mullen could be a good shout for the RTE Man of the Match award, there’s a bit of value there. The game will be won in the middle third and he could have a big say on affairs.

Huw Lawlor is also overpriced, so he’s worth keeping an eye on. If Kilkenny are to win, Lawlor will need to impress.

As for Limerick, Kyle Hayes and Gearoid Hegarty are good value to be named RTE Man of the Match. Hegarty will be disappointed with his performance in the semi-final so he’ll want to bounce back.
