I think this one will be extremely tight but I do fancy both teams to score. The Italians play with a high press and a lot of energy and they’ll obviously try to get it done in the 90 minutes.
They won’t want this to go to extra time to give Spain more of a chance. Italy have probably been the most consistent team in the tournament. Barring the Austria game where it went to extra time, they’ve looked the real deal.
Italy’s performance against Belgium was astonishing. High pressing, proper Italian defending and the dark arts were still there. Even the diving was there! They have proper defenders and they’re hard to beat.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
Spain are always decent but Italy look superior. They were terrific against Belgium and they dominated in the group stage before that. Spain create a lot of chances but they don’t seem to have a goalscorer in the side.
I know they scored 10 goals in two games but there were a mix of scorers as they don’t have that out-and-out goal machine.
I fancy Italy to Win a tight game at Wembley on Tuesday. If I had to pick a scoreline, I’d go 2-1 to the Italians with Ciro Immobile scoring.
Immobile is quality but he’s got real talent around him as well. Federico Chiesa is decent and Lorenzo Insigne scored a stunning goal against Belgium and they have more goalscorer than Spain.
