Tuesday 8.00pm: Leeds v Everton
TV: BT Sport 1
Leeds to win
Both Leeds and Everton suffered disappointing results over the weekend, with Leeds slumping to a first defeat of the season against Brighton and Everton conceding late on at Brentford to ensure their winless start to the season continues.
In truth, Leeds fully deserved to lose to Brighton, while Brentford fully deserved their equaliser against Everton despite trailing for most of the game.
NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?
With the first Merseyside derby of the season taking place on Saturday, Everton could be under serious pressure if they fail to beat Leeds on Tuesday.
Frank Lampard’s side have collected just two points from their opening four games and could easily find themselves on three points or less after the derby on Saturday if they fail to win at Elland Road.
Leeds, meanwhile, have looked excellent at home this season, putting Chelsea to the sword in a convincing 3-0 win last time out.
Everton have looked disjointed all season and will struggle to match the energy of Leeds under Jesse Marsch on Tuesday night.
Both teams to score? No
Everton have scored in each of their last three games, but they have still looked ordinary in front of goal.
Leeds, on the other hand, have been hot and cold defensively in the opening weeks of the season.
Marsch’s side were excellent in restricting Chelsea at Elland Road two weeks ago, but they also collapsed against Southampton a week earlier in a 2-2 draw at St. Mary’s.
More recently, they presented Brighton with several glorious goalscoring opportunities and were arguably fortunate to only lose 1-0.
However, if they can produce a similar defensive performance to the one they produced against Chelsea, it is difficult to see an uninspired Everton attack finding the back of the net.

Rodrigo to score anytime
Rodrigo has made an excellent start to the season, scoring four goals in Leeds’s opening three games before drawing a blank at Brighton.
The Spaniard’s impressive start to the season has helped to offset the loss of Raphinha to Barcelona in the summer and his form will be crucial as Leeds look to improve on last season and avoid a relegation dogfight.
Rodrigo has attempted 18 shots in his four league appearances so far, finding the target on seven occasions.
He is likely to test Jordan Pickford on Tuesday and can wreak havoc against an Everton side that is yet to keep a clean sheet.
Demarai Gray to have two or more shots on target
Although Everton have failed to ignite going forward in their opening four games of the season, they have still managed to register a significant number of efforts on target.
The Toffees have recoded 23 shots on target in their opening four games at a rate of just under six per game.
They face a Leeds team that has faced an average of just over four shots on target per game, so there is every chance that Everton will match their early-season average.
Demarai Gray has been one of Everton’s brightest sparks in the opening weeks of the season, scoring a vital equaliser against Nottingham Forest to earn them their first point of the season.
Gray has attempted 11 shots this season, finding the target on four occasions.
He is good value to do so twice or more on Tuesday.
