Whisper it if you are a fan of the Saints, but Ralph Hasenhüttl have become quite difficult to beat in the Premier League of late. Only an on-song Arsenal outfit has beaten them in their last five games, and they welcome another North London outfit to the St Mary’s Stadium today.
Spurs have seen a similar uptick in their fortunes recently, as they’re undefeated in the six league games new boss Antonio Conte has been in the dugout for – and they’ve also won four of those contests too. Conte has also got Tottenham firing in front of goals again, as they’ve netted a whopping 12 goals in their last five outings.

Southampton haven’t been goal shy in that period either, whacking in eight in their previous five matches. That’s why we are eyeing up the Over 2.5 Goals market in this one. It’s a bet that has landed in each of the Saints last three games, while it has also come up in Tottenham’s last four matches in-a-row. Don’t be shocked to see it crop up again later.
While Covid is likely to keep several Palace first-teamers out of their showdown with the Canaries, the most crucial absentee could be due to disciplinary issues as Wilf Zaha serves his one-match suspension for a Boxing Day red card against Tottenham.
That could matter to us because the 29-year-old remains the Eagles’ biggest attacking threat, forcing opposing fullbacks into desperate lunges that generate a significant amount of his side’s corners.

Patrick Vieira’s side already average among the fewest corners-per-game in the league at 4.2, without the Ivorian that drops even lower. You could look at under 4.5 Home Corners for a juicier price, but under 5.5 is a solid selection given the winger’s absence.
Despite some eye-catching results and performances, Claudio Ranieri’s arrival at Watford has so far failed to dig them out of the relegation mire. They’ve followed up a 4-1 Man United slaying with four straight defeats and sit two points above the dropzone in 17th.
West Ham’s form hasn’t been much better with just one win in their last seven games, including a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Southampton last time out. Injuries have hit David Moyes’ squad and their surprising Champions League hopes are sliding away with every dropped point.

If they’re to find their best form again, Michail Antonio will be a big part of it. He missed their Tottenham loss and only came on at half-time against the Saints, sparking the Hammers into a life after a moribund first half. Watford haven’t kept a clean sheet since May, when they were still in The Championship. Antonio is anticipated to start, and we’d expect him to score.
