1:30 Chester – Fools Rush In (each-way)

Fools Rush In has some very strong course and distance form to his name and he won’t mind the fact that the ground has got slightly quicker. He finds himself dangerously well handicapped on only his second try for the Ruth Carr stable and he has been handed a decent draw in stall four.

1:50 Ascot – Dragon Leader

Dragon Leader proved himself to be an above-average juvenile by winning four of his five races to date. He steps into handicap company for the very first time and surely is just taking advantage of a lenient mark before progressing further up the sprint division ratings’ ladder.

2:05 Chester – Mr Hampstead

Both of Mr Hampstead’s runs to date have got some solid substance to them, including his return effort at Newbury where he was just starting to get going late on. That suggests there is a good chunk of improvement in him. This test in a small field could see him lower the colours of the Irish raider, Ephesus.

2:35 Chester – Bolster

Bolster is a low mileage improving four-year-old who looked as good as ever when making all at Pontefract last time for an easy success. He’s only been raised 5lbs by the assessor. While he may not get to the front end as easy in this line up – we can’t pigeonhole his running style.- as it is only his second start for trainer Karl Burke.

3:05 Chester – Royal Rhyme

Royal Rhyme went through the handicap grades in emphatic fashion last season and dipped his toe into top-level company when we last saw him at Ascot. He wasn’t disgraced and is a smooth-moving type, who may well appreciate the faster ground conditions. He has a good record fresh and the Karl Burke team continue to run well.

3:40 Chester – Grand Providence

Grand Providence ran a fantastic trial for this race on her return at Newbury. When getting her second wind, she really flew and hit the line strongly. A return to a marathon distance is going to suit her unlimited stamina and from the foot of the handicap she can collect the big prize.
