Wenger Out? Paddy Power pay out on Arsene being the next manager to lose his job

Let’s face it, Arsenal fans need some good news for a change….

After a miserable week for Arsenal, the ‘Wenger Out’ brigade look set to finally get their way as we’ve paid out early on Arsene Wenger being the next Premier League Manager to lose his job.

Yesterday’s defeat to Brighton was the fourth loss in-a-row for Wenger’s men and we’re confident that the result was the final nail in the Frenchman’s coffin. Meanwhile, his next move is most likely to say ‘Shang-hi’ to China, with a role as a manager of any Chinese Super League team rated at 13/5.

And, if the 68-year-old can make it through Donald Trump’s tight border control, he is rated at 100/30 to manage an MLS team next.

Staying in the Premier League, the most likely destination for Wenger is to replace Big Sam at Everton – punters can get odds of 4/1 that he takes the Toffees hot seat.

Other options for Wenger include managerial roles for the French national team (11/2), PSG (10/1) or England (12/1).

The search when then turn to a long awaited successor at the Emirates and Carlo Ancelotti is the 5/2 favourite to replace Wenger, with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry (3/1) ahead of Joachim Löw (4/1) in the running.

Asked about the pay-out spokesman Paddy Power said: “If Arsene’s tenure at Arsenal were a boxing match, the referee would have called time on it long ago.

“Watching this Frenchman’s demise brings a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘Les Misérables’”.
