Ship a-woy? Hodgson odds-on for Palace job after De Boer sacking

It looks like the former Three Lions boss is on his way back to the Premier League...

Former England manager Roy Hodgson looks a shoe-in to replace Frank De Boer, after the Dutchman’s brutal sacking just four matches of the season.

Hodgson is hugely odds-on at 1/7 – leading Burnley boss Sean Dyche (7/1), newly appointed Palace Sporting Director Dougie Freedman (10/1), and ex-boss Sam Allardyce (14/1) – though the latter has a hefty buy-out clause in his Paddy Power contract.

“I’m sure Palace will be more patient with their next boss – after all, it’s not like they’ve got United, City and Chelsea in their first four fixtures…”
