Juve head into this one having put an early season blip firmly to bed and are looking for eight victories on the spin on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, Inter will be keen to forget last weekend’s 3-1 defeat away to Lazio, and a good showing against The Old Lady would do just that. To say this has been a fiery rivalry hardly does the fixture justice, as Inter and Juventus have scrapped it out like Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder in recent Derby d’Italia meetings.
There has been a minimum of four cards in each of the last 10 games these sides have faced off in, so we’re expecting referee Maurizio Mariani to be a busy man on Sunday. There may also be a few scores to settle out on the pitch after last season’s extraordinarily ill-disciplined, end-of-season battle at the Allianz Stadium. A whopping 10 cards (including a red one for each team) were handed out that day in a match that featured a whopping 28 fouls, and we’re predicting sparks will fly yet again in Sunday’s derby.

19:45 Marseille v Paris Saint-Germain: Over 1.5 Goals First Half Goals
After surprisingly surrendering their Ligue 1 title to Lille last season, big bucks PSG look like they are on a punishment mission this term, and they have been battering teams all around them (except for Rennes). Mauricio Pochettino’s men have won nine of their 10 league matches this season and netted an impressive total of 24 goals in the process. They square off with a Marseille outfit who may sit third in the table, but who only won a single game in their last four Ligue 1 ties – losing two of them to Lille and Lens.
The last thing you need when you are scratching around for form is Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi and Co landing on your doorstep. With all that being said, we fancy some early strikes at the Orange Vélodrome. That’s because eight of the previous 10 games between these two in Marseille have witnessed at least two goals in the opening period of those games. PSG have also landed a goal in the first half of each of their last seven away matches, so we only need one more on top of that to bring this bet home.
20:00 Atletico Madrid v Real Sociedad: Antoine Griezmann To Score Anytime
After what happened to him on Tuesday night, we don’t believe there’ll be anyone more motivated than Antoine Griezmann on the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium pitch this Sunday night as Atletico Madrid host surprise league leaders (at the time of writing) Real Sociedad.
The French superstar may not have scored in the league since his return from Barcelona, but he looks to be finding form at the right time for Diego Simeone’s men. Griezmann bagged a beautiful brace against Liverpool in the Champions League in midweek, before he was a little unlucky to be sent off for unintentionally booting Roberto Firmino in the face. He will want to make it up to the home fans here, and given that he has hit six goals against Sociedad already in his career to date, we’re tipping him to add to that tally in this one.
20:30 Portimonense v Estoril: Draw
The Portuguese Primeira Liga probably doesn’t get as much coverage as it deserves, so you’d be forgiven for not knowing this is a meeting between the fourth and fifth placed sides in the table (again at the time of writing). Portimonense have started the season well, picking up four wins from eight games and they even shocked Benfica with a 1-0 away success last time out.
Estoril haven’t been too shabby either, picking up 13 points from their eight league outings and they can leapfrog their hosts with a win here. They also tend to do well at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão lately, as they’ve only lost once in their last five visits there. Given their almost identical records so far this term though, we fancy the sides to cancel each other out here and a draw could be the savvy way to play it.
