Derby v Norwich – Norwich to Win and Over 2.5 Goals

Norwich’s long lap of honour rocks up at Pride Park this weekend and they could seal promotion on Saturday, although a raft permutations need to fall into place so that will probably have to wait another seven days. The perfect hosts, Derby, seem unlikely to ruin the party too much.

Wayne Rooney’s side are edging towards safety after the Manchester United and England great guided them from a desperate position to 18th. They’ve only won one of the last five but won’t need too many more points than their current total of 43 to stay up.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

Their quest for points will likely prove fruitless here as the red-hot Norwich are in the mood and want to secure their return to the top flight as quickly as possible. Daniel Farke’s side won nine on the bounce before back-to-back draws and the 7-0 demolition of Huddersfield on Tuesday.

They’re right on it and should win with ease. Paddy knows that and their odd-on price reflects that so, at a really big price I’m siding with The Canaries’ recent goal-scoring form to continue with Norwich to Win and Over 2.5 Goals.

Plymouth v Hull – Hull to Win

Hull make the long trip south to face a Plymouth side who have been doing okay at home recently. Well, that’s in comparison to their overall form. They’ve lost six of their last nine, but they’ve won two of the last four with both of those victories coming at Home Park.

However, Hull are in good shape and are well-positioned to go on and take the League One crown this season.

Simply put, they should have too much for the Pilgrims, despite some improvement recently.

Hull have won seven of their last games, drawing two, and have won four of the last six away games, going unbeaten in that run. The Tigers will be odds on but with that healthy Norwich selection in our pockets I’m happy to be on the Hull Win here.

Sunderland v Charlton – Sunderland to Win

Sunderland are another side bang in form and they’ve gone 12 league games without defeat, drawing just three times in that run. The 1-1 draw with Peterborough last time was a good result and leaves them in a great position, two points behind the Posh in 2nd with a game in hand.

Charlton have been going along nicely and have racked up a run of six games without a loss with three wins and three draws.

However, they’ve faced a kind fixture list and I’m expecting them to be outclassed here against a Sunderland side who are in a real groove.

Both sides desperately need the points, but The Black Cats are just a step above and, playing on home soil, they should have enough in the locker to get it done and keep the pressure on the top two. Sunderland to Win is the selection here.

Cambridge v Exeter – Cambridge to Win

It looks like nobody wants to go up in League Two. In the top eight on Easter Monday, only Newport came away with a win. we focus on two top-eight sides here as Cambridge host the out-of-sorts Exeter.

Table-toppers Cambridge had won four in a row before their draw with fellow automatic hopefuls Tranmere last time out.

Exeter played out a dreadful 0-0 draw with Mansfield and have lost four of the last six, winning the other one.

It looks like the wheels have come off at Exeter and with confidence low I’m expecting the hosts to get a big three points in this one. United need the win to keep Cheltenham at bay and I think they’ll get it done with a Cambridge Win at a good price.
