Carlo Ancelotti will undergo eyebrow surgery later today after his eyebrow remained permanently raised following Real Madrid’s humiliating 4-0 defeat by Manchester City in the second-leg of their Champions League semi-final.
The Italian tactician, renowned for keeping his cool on the bench, watched on in horror as Los Blancos surrendered their grip on club football’s biggest prize.
“We were concerned when he arrived back in the dressing-room after the game” a club spokesperson told Paddy Power News, “It was obvious to all that there was a problem with Carlo’s eyebrows, they were not in the usual place.”
Concerns about Ancelotti’s brows had been raised following the first-leg at the Santiago Bernabeu, when the Real boss contested a hotly disputed Kevin De Bruyne equaliser. A club doctor was quick to point out however straight afterwards that:
“Everyone is aware that Mr Ancelotti has the coolest eyebrows since Roger Moore, the fact that they were sat a little too far up his forehead is nothing to be concerned about.”

Wednesday night’s humiliation at The Etihad however, looks to have exacerbated the injury, Real striker Karim Benzema telling Spanish TV afterwards that:
“It was horrific, when he arrived back in the dressing-room I couldn’t look him in the face, it was so contorted, it looked like something out of a Stephen King horror movie.
“Luka Modric legged it straight to the mixed zone in the buff, he was so traumatised.”
Paddy Power News understands that Ancelotti left the Etihad alone and was immediately flown back to Madrid on a private jet, with club officials concerned that he would not have cleared passport control at Manchester airport with the rest of the squad.
A source in the Spanish capital confirmed to us that the Italian, who is the most decorated coach in the competition’s history, will go under the knife today.
A hospital spokesperson also confirmed in a brief statement that;
“An Italian bloke with a startled looking face was admitted this morning. I am not prepared to comment any further at this time and we ask that people respect the family’s privacy during this difficult period.”
Real Madrid officials were not available for comment, as they were still helping airport officials clean up the mess after the squad were pelted with rotten tomatoes on their return to the capital on Wednesday night.”
