Pep Guardiola’s side are a perfect 10. Manchester City have won every one of their 10 competitive matches this season, including a Manchester derby, and look like a serious force to be reckoned with.

In fact, they are in touching distance of a 56-year-old Premier League record. No side since the 1960/61 season has win their first 10 games of a season, with Tottenham winning their opening 11. They went on to win the league and FA Cup double that season.

City are set to equal that record on Wednesday night, when they pay a visit to Celtic in the Champions League.

Six games into the season and six games unbeaten is a record Pep is all too familiar with. This record was echoed at Bayern Munich last season, and Barcelona in the famous 09/10 season. In both campaigns, Guardiola went on to win the league.

Bayern were held to a 0-0 draw by Eintracht Frankfurt on the 11th week of the Bundesliga season. They retained their unbeaten record until December 5th, when finally Borussia Monchengladbach put an end to the streak with a 3-1 victory.

That loss was one of only two losses Pep faced last season, he won 28 and drew four, finishing 10 points ahead of runners-up Borussia Dortmund.
