The battle for baseball supremacy is set to take place over the next week as the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks slug it out for the World Series.
Quite frankly, it’s not a fitting name because only Major League Baseball teams in North America are eligible, but semantics aside, we’re down to the final two after the long and winding regular season and postseason.
The two franchises were in the doldrums only two years ago and were not fancied to reach the 119th edition of the World Series, but the Texas Rangers secured bragging rights in the American League and the Arizona Diamondbacks emerged as top dogs in the National League.
