Rockstar Games has announced that internet sensation Ronnie Pickering will be a playable character in the latest instalment of their Grand Theft Auto franchise.
It comes after Rockstar confirmed that the trailer for GTA 6 will be revealed sometime in December.
Pickering got embroiled in an altercation with a moped driver back in 2015 and GoPro footage of the incident became a YouTube phenomenon.
Now the 59-year-old is set to star in the hotly anticipated free roaming action-adventure game.
When shown videos and screenshots of his GTA character in early development by Paddy Power News, Pickering remarked:
‘Do you know who that is? It’s me. Ronnie Pickering’.
The single-player story follows Pickering’s rise to power following his release from a six-week anger management course after a classic bout of road rage.
While seeking out the moped driver responsible, he gradually builds his empire by selling Avon on the streets of Vice City.
Gamers can navigate their way through Vice City’s crime infested neighbourhoods in Pickering’s trademark red Citroen Picasso looking for other road users to harass.
When engaging with road-rage victims, Pickering will be able to use his famous catchphrases, such as ‘Do you know who I am?’ and ‘Take your helmet off’.
Missions will include Pickering’s high-speed pursuit of a cyclist who failed to recognise him and challenging a white van driver to a bare-knuckle fight.
Meanwhile, Rockstar also revealed GTA 6 will provide gamers will the most up-to-date free-roaming experiences.
‘Against a backdrop of rising global energy costs, gamers will find most of the cars they steal will have empty gas tanks’, one developer told Paddy Power News.
‘Extortionate gasoline prices mean that all drive-bys will be carried out using public transport’.
Asked if Rockstar had any useful hints or tips for gamers, the developer said:
‘Be wary of missions involving deadly car explosions.
‘But that’s enough about Teslas’.
