Breaking – Arteta spotted dressed as Batman climbing Stockley Park office

He's had enough

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been spotted scaling the roof of the Stockley Park offices in a VARthers 4 Justice protest.

The outspoken Spaniard who seemed to be holding back his tears after seeing his side lose to Newcastle on Saturday evening, is believed to be so angry with the footballing authorities that he intends on spending an entire week on the roof until match officials reverse their decision on Antony Gordon’s dubious goal and declare the game as a 0-0 result.

“Fat chance he’s got”, said Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who spent three weeks on the same roof dressed as Iron Man earlier in the season, following Liverpool’s trip to Spurs.

Founded by Pep Guardiola in 2019 after Raheem Sterling’s disallowed goal in the 95th minute of a Champions League semi-final, VARthers 4 Justice is an organisation which provides support to football managers who cannot accept decisions that go against them made by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

“We have 24-hour helplines giving managers the perfect opportunity to vent” confirmed the VARthers 4 Justice CEO..

“Alternatively, managers can log-in to our complaints client online where we log their anger.

“There’s currently a queue of 12,521 waiting to lodge their complaint.”

“We also provide legal aid, hugs, offer free parking and free Wi-Fi to premium members such as Eddie Howe, but most importantly, we provide the fancy dress costumes.

“We have over 1,000 to pick from, including every Marvel character, all the X-Men, a range of computer game favourites such as Super Mario and Sonic, and most recently I’ve spearheaded a new seasonal range which kicks off this December with Santa Clause, Elf and the Grinch all available.

“We had Gary O’Neil enquiring about our SpongeBob Square Pants outfit on Saturday evening, and although nothing has been confirmed, we expect to see Erik ten Hag on that roof dressed as Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer over the festive period” he continued.

With Arteta likely to miss home fixtures against Sevilla and Burnley, Paddy Power News caught up with a local Arsenal supporter who had this to say on the situation.

“Mikel has lost the plot, if he wants to be taken seriously and get them to revisit the decision, he needs to be dressed as Wolverine or the Gunnersaurus, not Batman.”
