Ange Postecoglou visits A&E after falling off his high horse

You ride a high horse into a press room, what do you expect really?

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has visited A&E with a suspected broken his arm after falling off his high horse, Paddy Power News can exclusively reveal.

The 58-year-old was thrown from the haughty horse during his post-match press conference following Spurs’ 4-1 home defeat by London rivals Chelsea.

Many expected the Australian to follow the example of North London counterpart Mikel Arteta by criticizing the match officials after Tottenham had Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie sent off in a game where five goals were disallowed and a total of 21 extra minutes were played.

However, much to everyone’s astonishment, Postecoglou strode into the press conference on horseback and took the moral high ground instead.

‘Mikel Arteta is behaving like a big Sheila’, said Postecoglou.

‘You have to accept the referee’s decision, that’s how I grew up. Referee’s decisions, Paul Hogan movies and Fosters, mate. Lots of Fosters’.

But when one journalist pointed out that Postecoglou received a yellow card from referee Michael Oliver for persistently contesting his on-field decisions, the horse suddenly jolted, thrusting the former Celtic boss from his mighty steed of moral integrity.

It’s unclear what caused the horse to jolt but some believe it may have been when the press hack called Postecoglou out on his bullsh*t.

The ex- Socceroos coach was carried away on a stretcher by paramedics while muttering things like ‘bloody mongrel’ and ‘flaming Galah’ under his breath.

Doctors suspect Postecoglou suffered a break of both his radius and ulna while protecting himself from the fall.

Meanwhile, former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino praised his Chelsea players for sticking to the game plan following last night’s 4-1 victory.

‘I told the lads before kick-off that Tottenham were unbeaten in ten league games, playing exciting football and being discussed as potential title challengers.

‘Something Spursy was going to happen sooner rather than later.’

‘True to form, they’ve Spursed the absolute life out of it tonight.

‘Shipping four goals at home. Two red cards. They are inevitable’.
