The Queen Of The Palace has shown superb form through this tournament, hitting a 170 to qualify for the knockout stages and seeing off Mensur Suljovic again on the big stage to advance to the quarter-finals in Wolverhampton. That made her the first woman in history to make the last eight of a major televised PDC tournament.
She may have lost to Peter Wright 5-1 in the group stages, but she is well capable of keeping it tight against ‘Snakebite’ in this quarter-final. Wright’s form has been poor recently, and he was fortunate to beat Jose De Sousa in the Second Round with an average of under 90. If Wright doesn’t improve on that, Sherrock will be competitive and may even secure a famous victory.
