Eurovision fever is set to take the UK by storm as Liverpool prepares to stage the europop party.
Cast your mind back to 12 months ago when the Kalush Orchestra landed the spoils for Ukraine with their folk-rap ditty ‘Stefania’ beating out ‘Space Man’ Sam Ryder.
Sadly, due to the Russian invasion, Ukraine is unable to stage the Eurovision Song Contest so the honour has been passed to the UK.

Eurovision 2023 dates and times
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, May 9 to Saturday, May 13.
There are two semi-finals to determine the majority of the finalists but the Big Five – France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK – and last year’s winners – Ukraine – sail straight through.
The first semi-final, which featured 15 countries vying for 10 spots in the final, began at 8pm on Tuesday.
Semi-Final 1 Qualifiers: Norway, Serbia, Portugal, Croatia, Switzerland, Israel, Moldova, Sweden, Czechia, Finland
The second semi-final, which featured 16 countries vying for 10 spots in the final, got underway at 8pm on Thursday.
Semi-Final 2 Qualifiers: Armenia, Estonia, Belgium, Cyprus, Poland, Slovenia, Austria, Albania, Lithuania, Australia
The final itself kicks off at 8pm on Saturday.
UK Eurovision 2023 entry
Mae Muller will take to the stage on home soil for the United Kingdom. The 25-year-old will belt out a tune called ‘I Wrote A Song’. She will be the 26th – and final performer – in the final.
Irish Eurovision 2023 entry
Wild Youth were the winners of Eurosong with their number ‘We Are One’ to earn the chance to represent Ireland at Eurovision. The Dublin-based group were the sixth act in the first semi-final but failed to qualify.

Sweden are the favourites with Paddy Power for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 as 2012 winner Loreen returns with a pop banger called ‘Tattoo’.
Finland are next in the betting courtesy of rapper Käärijä and his entry ‘Cha Cha Cha’ which received a huge reception in the first semi-final.
Ukraine are bidding for back-to-back victories and electronic duo Tvorchi are also prominent in the betting with their song ‘Heart of Steel’.
